Local development

Prerequisites#

• Node.js 24 LTS (engines.node in package.json: >=24 <25)
• npm 10+
• PostgreSQL for portal login and product features (DATABASE_URL)

Main app#

cp .env.example .env   # set DATABASE_URL, AUTH_SECRET, etc.
npm install
npm run db:migrate     # requires real DATABASE_URL
npm run dev            # http://localhost:3000

Companion apps#

npm run dev:talent      # port 3002
npm run dev:contractor  # port 3003

Copy apps/talent/.env.example and Contractor equivalents; align AUTH_SECRET and database URL with the main app for shared sessions.

Public docs are stored in content/docs.json and editable in Admin → Resources → Docs. Published pages are server-rendered at /resources/docs/[slug].
